Mindful of the fact that most of the children are about to break up from school this coming week and that we had a super long lesson last week for the mock test, we spent this week playing vocabulary games and doing quizzes and generally ‘winding down’ for a week before we crack on in earnest the last few weeks before the 11+.
We just tried to make the lesson as fun as possible with prizes and rewards for the children.
We challenged the children to read a book at home and we will have a quiz next week with prizes; we chose Carrie’s War by Nina Bawden
They all seemed to be up for it!
