Again, understandably, lots of our students are confused with how the centuries are numbered.
They all understand that we are currently living in the 21st century, but seem to get confused with historical dates:
Rather than just say you need to count on 1 from the first two digits in the year number, we’ve found it’s best taught by explaining that the 1st century was years 1 to 100, the 2nd century was years 101 to 200 and so on.
