We did the second short paper this week.
The children were much more confident with the multiple-choice answer sheet, although some were still not marking their answers boldly enough.
We look forward to the arrival of our brand new shiny OMR scanner which we will be able to demonstrate with the children and hopefully drive home the need to mark the answer sheet correctly.
The vast majority of the children got into a pickle with this maths section, taking far too long on question 1 by working out the answer in full and not realizing that a quick working out of the last digit would lead them to the correct option – J – without the need to go any further with the calculation : 
Much improvement in terms of results, two whopping 100% scores ranging down to 36%.
