It has been a bitter-sweet week for us here at 11PlusLeap this week!

The sweet part is:

On the 14th October, the results emails were all sent out to the parents of our students. We are immensely proud that our students this year have achieved record numbers of passes, with 97% of our students gaining a qualifying score for a grammar school place and the vast majority of our students achieving scores for their first choice grammar school. We couldn’t be more thrilled for you all!

During the course of the last two years, it has been a real pleasure to see all of our students making such significant progress and to see how much more confident they have become.

Moreover, it has been an absolute delight to witness friendship groups forming and, now, many of our students will be attending the same secondary schools and be on the same school bus!

As for those children who were not studying with us but sat their 11+ exams last month, we hope that they are all very happy with their results and with the next step of their education.

The bitter part is:

We’re saddened to announce that we must return to virtual learning via Zoom again as the rapid rise of Covid cases in the area has forced our hand! It is especially disappointing because we were so excited to return to face-to-face tuition after such a long period of time delivering remote lessons!

The safety of our students, their families and our staff is our utmost concern and must take priority. We will continue to deliver the same high standard as always, despite the change.

Below is another vocabulary exercise in keeping with our ethos of seeing new words in context many times.
