We’ve all been there.

You’re lying in bed at night after a big gathering, drifting off to sleep, when suddenly it hits you: the word that was on the tip of your tongue just hours earlier. It was the perfect word for the sentence and instead you had to shove in a mediocre replacement that just didn’t pack the same punch. Then you’re wide awake stewing over how good that story could’ve been. Let’s get these children talking more smoothly than their predecessors!

This week we focused on vocabulary; the topic is so vast that it feels like we can never cover it enough. We particularly enjoy looking into, learning, and using new synonyms all the time. It’s a lesson that never ends.

For some extra work, we’ve attached a vocab exercise with some words that will be truly impressive should a child decide to use one! Perhaps set them the task to use each one at some point next week.
